Hampton Inn Sturbridge

Got a good deal on booking, for what might be called full service hotel. Had a large room which was equipped with a coffee machine, a microwave and a mini fridge (whcih is great if you're traveling and have to store food) Coffee/tea is also available all the time in the lobby. Location wise - it's close to 20 West and the 131 and the 84 West. Because I was in the car too long I wanted to stretch so I walked from the Inn to the Publick House (which took me about 15-18 minutes) The desk attendant at Hapmton gave me a 10% discount card for dinner there and I would recommend the Publick House for dinner to anyone -- even vegetarians. If, however, you somehow miss dinner somewhere and need something, you can buy microwavable dinners and pizza from the front desk, along with treats and other needs. Sadly, I was too tired to partake of the pool, or fitness room, so can't rate. Breakfast had many options from cold cereals, hot oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, waffles, eggs, bacon, sweets, toast, juices, etc. Bathroom was good size and equipped with the refillable soaps, etc. Nice feature was the bathroom night light. plenty of towels. (Re: eating: though not in sturbridge, on your way to or from sturbridge on the 84, I recommend the Traveler Book Shop Restaurant in Union Ct. -- it's about 5 miles away. Check for days and hours open though.)

Good breakfast options - not fancy but had healthy options like oatmeal, boiled eggs, some fruits and yogurt and plenty of other options. Staff was very kind and helpful. Pool area and gym were clean and just what we needed. Room was clean, of comfortable size and the heating unit worked well in the room. Location by the highway and next to a police station were great. It was a good value for the price, especially the included breakfast, indoor pool and gym, and the staff was friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is under renovations but still very clean. Unfortunately this is the 3rd time that I have tried to use a digital key at a Hilton facility ( as a rewards member was supposed to gain extra Hilton points for using it) but it never works. I get the digital key via the Hilton app for contactless check-in but it never works. I always need to go to the front desk anyway. Not sure I have received the extra points as promised for using the app/digital key. I do love the Hilton chain though as I travel quite frequently for work and leisure.

Large room with two very comfortable queen beds (firm mattresses), an armchair, desk, coffee maker, and microwave. The bathroom was a nice size, clean, and functional. We loved the night light in the bathroom: not shining brightly in your eyes at night but conveniently installed under the sink area.

Decent breakfast, but not appealing. No orange juice. The only eggs offered were eggs and cheese. Rather than bacon or breakfast sausage, they only offered kielbasa. Admittedly, oatmeal and and waffles were available, so people did have choices. Probably just wasn't my morning.
